The Albanian National Question and the Conflict of 1998-1999 in Kosovo

During the 1980s-1990s, the Balkans experienced profound political upsets, concerning notably Kosovo. From 1981 on, the resistance of the Albanese of Kosovo against Serb domination intensifies; in 1995-1997, the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) is established; then in 1999 the NATO performs a campaign of air attacks against Serbia. These events raised with keenness the issue of the nations' right to dispose of themselves.
